Hi, Audrey here! I have the great privilege of helping my mom with this very website as she begins to share what the Lord has placed on her heart. Speaking of which, this blog post exists because I’m working on creating a new section of her blog and needed a test post. What better opportunity than this to share a little about what’s on my heart and what’s happening in my life right now?
I am thrilled and honored to share that I have been invited to lead a mission trip with Word of Life to Québec, Canada, from April 3 to 13! Along with two other leaders, I will be traveling with a team of 17 New York Bible Institute students to the French-speaking Bible Institute, Parole de Vie Quebec, in Sherbrooke, Québec.
Québec has one of the lowest percentages of evangelical Christians in North America, at roughly 0.8–1.2% of the population. This is far below the approximate 3% threshold often used to identify a group as “reached” versus “unreached.” The term “unreached people groups” is often associated with Tribal or Indigenous communities, but it can just as easily include suburban and Westernized populations.
The main efforts Parole de Vie takes to reach Québec are training and sending French-speaking missionaries. As well as their Bible Institute, summer and winter camps, supporting local churches, and engaging in evangelistic activities in their local cities such as Montreal and Québec City. It’s a strategic and impactful mission field I am looking forward to partnering with!
I am so blessed to have you each as a member of my prayer and financial support team. Please be praying wisdom for me as I get to pour into those I will be leading and that the gospel is ever on our lips. I am looking forward to all God will do in and through this team!
