Week Five

1.29.13-2.4.13

Day-in and day-out Jesus has sustained me. As our relationship grew I became aware that deep within me I had a fresh desire to ‘take Him at His Word’ specifically referring to His Words in John 10:10 which are:

ESV- The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I (Jesus) came that they (us as His) may have life and have it abundantly.

NLT- The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My (Jesus) purpose is to give them (us) a rich and satisfying life.

MSG- Jesus told this simple story, but they had no idea what he was talking about. So he tried again. “I’ll be explicit, then. I am the Gate for the sheep. All those others are up to no good—sheep stealers, every one of them. But the sheep didn’t listen to them. I am the Gate. Anyone who goes through me will be cared for—will freely go in and out, and find pasture. A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.
