2.26.13-3.4.13
I wrote in my steno pad every. single. thing. I. did. for my usual 19 hours of awake living. I started with my rising at 4:45 am and in certain areas of my day like my jogging and training times, I made notes about my back pain and included what I ate. I wrote about how I plan and honor Ryan and our marriage, the children and their individual commitments as well as our intentional family time. I included all my work commitments and different leadership roles I was in. I wrote about our commitments with church and certainly couldn’t leave out all the chores related to the home. I finally finished by wrapping up each day with my typical bedtime of 11:30 pm.
This experience of purging to paper all that I do had me thinking my pen was fueled by a jetpack. The pages were filled in what felt like no time at all and as I finished writing about the last day of a typical week, I cried.
Clearly I was not at all prepared for what it would feel like to write down this “living list.”

and because music is a gift…
