continued from week 22…

Up until this point I hadn’t shared with Ryan, or any others, how I had been invited into this time and now that I have come through it *this unbelievable gift of conversation with Jesus* I was even more hesitant to share.

Jesus knew I would need “signs” to let my heart, mind and life come into an alignment to actually DO what He offered.

“Signs following.”

These were His words to me and they are words used in Scripture and the signs that indeed followed in the stories of Scripture were well…significant! I don’t need significance but I do need certainty. 

In the Gospel of Mark 16:20, ‘signs following’ is so here it is in a few versions (emphasis added):

And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. KJV

And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them, and confirmed the word by the signs that followed. NASB

And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs. ESV

I wondered briefly what this would mean for me, for us, but I also knew not to live in a way of searching for these signs. Instead… I was able to simply live with an awareness of remembering what He said, knowing they would come.
