Week 27

6.30.13-7.6.13

continuing on from week 25 (and 26)…

…There were tears within each of our eyes.

Some of the words I shared with our three were “Our days may feel a little more difficult over the next few weeks but we have peace and as we choose to follow Jesus, He will help us.”

Sitting there I imagined You Jesus, yes, really You, sitting with us. You being at the head of our table because You ARE the Head. Jesus, we are your body and we carry Your name.

And… Audrey’s off to school.

A few minutes later on the way to dropping Caleb off at preschool he starts up a conversation that “He doesn’t want to go to Audrey’s school.” I thought I heard him wrong because it was totally random, completely out of nowhere. Why? I asked. “Because there are bullies.” Oh. “How would you feel about homeschooling?” I asked.

Before Caleb could answer Spencer sweetly spoke with his head bowed, “Well, I’d like homeschooling.” To hear him say so after the rough morning we had, still preferring home, spoke to my heart.

Caleb was dropped off and back home Spence and I went. As I pull toward the house I notice an envelope taped to the front door. Mmm… I thought to myself maybe it’s an anonymous gift? Maybe it’s a miracle? After all, since 4:50 this morning I’ve had that song in my head (I Need a Miracle by Third Day) which in light of what Ryan shared, I now know we truly need.
