continued from Week 33…
I’ll take this time to mention at the start of the year of 2013, when all of this was happening, I had begun something which was new for me, new for Jesus and I.
As I approached the end of 2012 I had asked for a “word” to be highlighted that I could use to study, meditate on, and be expectant of Him to further teach and bring insight around. My year of 2013 therefore was launched with the word “community.”
First, I would take time to define my word, so here you go…
- community 1: a unified body of individuals: such as a: the people with common interests living in a particular area, b: a group of people with a common characteristic or interest living together within a larger society, c: a body of persons of common and especially professional interests scattered through a larger society, d: a body of persons or nations having a common history or common social, economic, and political interest, e: a group linked by a common policy, f: an interacting population of various kinds of individuals (such as a species) in a common location, g: STATE, COMMONWEALTH and
- 2. a: a social state or condition.
Look at all the times the word common is used simply within the definition. While I think much of what Jesus highlights for my heart to embrace is unique or ‘less’ common, I knew enough to know it’s not for me to ask why (referring to Him giving me the word community). I did know though, through our time together living with Our word, He will bring greater understanding to me.
