continued from Week 37
Recalling those earlier days of our willingness to change the aspects of life Jesus had highlighted for us, I laugh out loud! There was a series of signs He gave that I still shake my head about. Caleb and Spencer had already, out of nowhere, brought up not wanting to go to school because of “bullies” and then this classic and unforgettable moment happened.
It was time to leave for school drop-offs so I was rallying the kids but Caleb was nowhere to be found. After a few hollers then hearing his faint response, I found him in the bathroom going “#2,” which for him was a sans-clothes experience but… it was time to leave, so let’s go, right?!?
In his good ol’ time, he finished, got re-dressed and off we went. About half way to his preschool Caleb blurts out, “Mom, I want to be homeschooled.” “Why Bub?” “Well… I just wanna be able to poop when I want.”
Seriously!?! So funny and pretty darn accurate for what I bet is the majority of kids who are constantly being schlepped around!
Caleb’s sweet and innocent request helped to keep my heart light to… trust.
Jesus, help us to continue trusting You, here we know we… will. be. able. to continue moving forward in this new unknown.
